Mumbai, October 6, 2017 – “It was certainly a happy and satisfying exercise to review the MMRDA projects. The progress showcases the commitment of MMRDA to serve people and make their life easier”, said the Honourable Chief Minister of Maharashtra Mr.Devendra Fadnavis after concluding the review of various projects such as Metro, Mumbai Trans Harbour Link, Multi-Modal Corridor, few road and flyover projects ect.
“Timely completion of projects is the key to happy citizens. Today, the need of the hour is Metro considering the congestion in suburban railway and the number of severe incidents that take place regularly. Human loss due to infrastructure failure can never be excused”, said the Chief Minister further. “It is the speedy construction of the two Metro lines – Andheri (East) to Dahisar (East) Metro-7 and Dahisar to DN Nagar Metro-2A – that makes me happy. Of course, I will appeal to Mumbaikars for their wholehearted support. Today’s inconvenience is only temporary. However, the comfort we will enjoy after completion of Metro lines will remain permanent”, concluded Mr.Fadnavis.
