Defaulter babus to face dire consequences following to unpaid property returns

Approx 454 babus (bureaucrats) so far haven’t cleared the annual property returns on time, directed to government to take against the defaulters on higher priority basis.
The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) prepared defaulter’s list and sent to concern department asking them to provide Immovable Property Returns (IPRs) on higher priority basis and direct appropriate action.
The defaulters list comprising Department of Agriculture and Cooperation (58), followed by Home Ministry (40), Health and Family Welfare Ministry (36), Environment Ministry (32) and Defence Ministry (28).
According to the government instructions Central Secretariat Service officers have to submit IPRs for 2011 by January 31 this year.
DoPT have issued memorandum “number of officer have been listed in defaulters list, Administrative Ministries/Departments are, therefore, requested to obtain the IPRs for the year 2011, and send the same to the division without delaying.”
