Except for the building and construction sector projects and township and area development projects, any project or activity specified in category ‘B’ will be treated as category ‘A’ if it is located in whole or in part within 10 km radius from the boundary of the critically polluted areas.

This information was given by the Minister of State for Environment and Forests (independent charge) Shrimati Jayanthi Natarajan in a written reply to a question by Shri Kanjibhai Patel in Rajya Sabha today. 115
