Andheri-East skywalk now open for public

A 450 meter long and 4 meter wide Andheri-East skywalk has been thrown open by The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) on 2nd june 2010.
The 20 crore skywalk runs from Agarkar Chowk near Andheri station ( E. ) towards Gokhale Bridge.
Andheri being one of the most busy working hubs in Mumbai,Thousands of Mumbaikars work in and around Andheri. Though a few finishing touches are still being given to it, the skywalk has been opened considering the approaching monsoon, said the officials from MMRDA.
The MMRDA has fully opened nine skywalks in the region till date. Which are, Bandra-E, Bandra-E Extension up to Bandra Court, Kanjur marg- E, Mira Road-E, Vidyavihar-W, Badlapur-E and W, Virar-W and Bhayendar-W.

The Authority has also opened nine more skywalks, partially, at Bandra-W, Borivli-W, Chembur-W, Ulhasnagar-W, Ghatkopar-W, Santacruz-E and W and Dahisar-E and W.
