The state government is pledged to provide deeds to all landless people in the Assam in a time frame, said CM Sarbananda Sonowal on Friday.
Recently in November, the state government announced to provides pattas (deeds) to landless families. People living for many years and do not have ownership over their land is painful, he said.
During a review meeting, CM said, around 11,500 pattas have been issued in the state. Spot out the eligible families and identify land in their circles for providing deeds, he directed officials.
He also directed officials of the circle to take step against the encroachment on government land and carry out awareness drive amongst the people.
Mostly ever state is surrounded by encroachment on the government land.
