Maharashtra Pollution Control Board who is monitoring pollution in Mumbai at Bandra, Sion and Worli have posted data on its website showing 215% increase in pollution as compared to standard control of pollution. Bandra in last week of Nov had been highest polluted region after Deonar, Chamber, Sion, Wadala Truck Terminus area.

On 29th Nov, Bandra had recorded 224 RSPM, i.e. dust particles and other pollutant substance which can cause asthma and other respiratory related problems. Residents also have complained several times to construction site and traffic police to control the PUC and other norms strictly but congestion and dust leads to terrible pollution in the air besides noise level reaching almost 70 to 90 dl. In the festive season this level doubles and reaches to dangerous level.
The rates have reached to 29000/- per sq ft from 75000/- per sq ft in the recent past and are likely to fall further for want of amenities and clean environment. Photo coutrsey themetrognome.in
