Mumbai, March 6, 2017: Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation managed to demolish an eleven-storey building on Keshavji Naik road. The construction was illegal as it was positioned very close to the railway tracks. The building was in the vicinity of Sandhurst Road and Masjid Bunder railway stations. To demolish the construction, it was quite a task for the civic officials, and precautions were taken, so there is no disruption to the railway services and the passengers.

The building’s four-storey was demolished years ago, as the construction was illegal and built without the permission. The demolition was constantly irrupted due to several nuisances. The process was stopped by the locals and lack of police protection caused the delay in demolition.

An FIR was launched against the builder by the civic officials. The builder did not only build an 11-storey building without permission but also a huge basement.
