Builder penalized for Rs.2L for not transferring land

Mumbai: On Friday the National Consumer Disputes has tightened its grip over city based builder who fail to transfer land to co-operative housing societies, has penalized for Rs.2Lakh fine. As the local builder who incompetent to execute the conveyance deed in favour of a housing society which has built a decade ago.
According to the conveyance deed’s final document a builder has to submit transferring the ownership of land on which building has constructed to housing society.
Similarly in 2007, housing society has lodged a complaint against a builder, so city consumer forum had directed the developer to execute the conveyance deed within three months and pay a compensation of Rs1 lakh to the housing society.
Society has also made the complaint after facing several problems from builders side such as he has incompetent to pay municipal taxes between 2000 and 2006, because of that water supply of building has been discontinued.
