Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to Bhoomi Pooja for Palghar District Headquaerter

CIDCO has been appointed as the Palghar New Towns Authority for the development of Palghar District Headquarters and New City by the Maharashtra Government. The Chief Minister of Maharashtra Shri Devendra Fadnavis will recite Bhoomi Pooja on 8th November, 2017, for the District Headquarters.

Tribal Development and Guardian Minister, Palghar District on this occasion Shri Vishnu Saavara is going to be present. The Bhoomi pooja program is organized on November 8, 2017 at 11.00 in Kolgaon, Palghar Boisar Road in Palghar district.

On 1st August 2014, the decision to establish an independent district for Palghar was announced. Palghar is the district headquarters of this district, which is the new district of Maharashtra. According to the notification issued by the Maharashtra government on October 1, 2016, under Section 113 (3A) of MRTP Act, 1966, CIDCO has been appointed as Palghar’s new Town Development Authority for the area of ??440 = 57 = 90 hectare area. Total 5,344 sq.kms, the Palghar New City project spread over the area will include seven revenue villages of Palghar, Kolgaon, Morekuran, Nandore, Dapoli, Tembhade and Shirgaon.

In order to develop the site of Palghar District headquarter, the construction of buildings and necessary infrastructure for various offices at the district level has been entrusted to CIDCO. Palghar District Headquarters, District Collectorate, Zilla Parishad Office, Superintendent’s Office, New Administrative Building (Block A & B), District and Session Court Building, Guest House, House for Employees, Houses & Roads, Roads, Water Supply, Sewing, Electricity Supply etc. Infrastructure will be developed.
