China’s urban safety measures in Shanghai could prove useful in Mumbai: CM

MUMBAI

The Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said China’s urban safety measures in Shanghai could prove useful in Mumbai and will certainly be important to cooperate with China in various development projects on October 23.

The CM said while speaking at meeting with Chinese Minister of Civil Aviation Zhao Kezhi and other government officials here.

He said, “Mumbai is the financial, commercial and entertainment capital of India. In terms of India’s economic growth and foreign investment, Mumbai is the most important contributors. We are always alert about the safety measures and China’s urban security sector will definitely be useful here. Shanghai and Mumbai are known as sister cities. Therefore, it will be important to implement the urban security measures in Mumbai. By this way, the cooperation of both countries can be enhanced.”

Chinese companies are also operating in Maharashtra as well as infrastructure and other important production areas, he added.

Chinese Civil Minister Kejhi said, ” We are trying to implement the project in order to provide civil and urban services. In view of this, an important agreement has been signed with the Indian Home Ministry.”

Shanghai or the cities of China and urban security and development projects implemented in it. In the same context, there are efforts to promote investment and cooperation in various projects in India, he added.

Kejhi said, the pace of investment in urban infrastructure and urbanization with economic development is important and Maharashtra’s contribution to India’s reforms sector would also be noticeable.
