Commander Dey Shot Dead

By Dr Sanjay Chaturvedi

He wrote an extensive book “Khallas” on Mumbai’s underworld. Recipient of Accommodation Times Award, Jyotindra Dey had worked with all leading newspapers in Mumbai. He was the writer of Headline when Hindustan Times first edition hit in Mumbai. He had worked with Indian Express, Mid-day Hindustan Times and other media.

Today, we have lost a very versatile unbiased writer who had been on crime beat for almost a decade.

Commander Day, as we all know him, worked with him and deliberated on many stories, is no more with us. We strongly condemn the cowardly killing of Journalists today in the afternoon at Hiranandani Gardens, Powai by some unidentified persons.
