Committee directs Taloja Industrial Area to prevent pollution

MUMBAI:

Retired Judge of Mumbai High Court and Chairman of Taloja Monitoring Committee, V. M. Kanade, recently instructed to take immediate steps to prevent the pollution of an industrial area in the state.

A meeting was held between Indian Merchants Chamber and pollution activist Arvind Mhatre related to wastewater treatment project in the industrial area of Taloja.

Kanade said, there has been a significant increase in pollution in Taloja industrial area. It is causing problems to the general public. For this , there is a need to implement a joint sewerage scheme in a modern way. Since Casardi being left chemical burns in the river , which has affected the health of citizens. Apart from this , due to the increase in air pollution in the area , wildlife and animals also suffer from humans. For the next six months , in an attempt to reduce the entrepreneur air pollution and water pollution. The pollution control board should be monitored regularly from time to time, he said.

Several member and officials were also present.
