New Delhi: Today in Lok Sabha Urban Development (UD) minister Kamal Nath said that 100 Commonwealth Games Flats are going to be auctioned soon but MPs won’t get flats in it.
In 2010 for Game village 1,168 flats were constructed out of which Delhi Development Authority (DDA) owns 711 flats. Nath added these flats won’t be given to MPs as it will lead to huge agitation and in the current scenario ministry don’t want it.
While replying to a discussion on the Demands for Grants on Urban Development Ministry the ministry said “I don’t want to be a victim. You also won’t like that. So, don’t think about that.”
He said 52 flats for Lok Sabha MPs on BD road and 14 for Rajya Sabha MPs on Talkatora Road are under construction.
“Plan for constructing 460 flats on Feroze Shah Road and 400 flats in South Avenue is ready,” he said.
