Construction Chemical Instructional Seminar branded C3 held in Mumbai

Mumbai: On 17th and 18th Feb 2012 and was well attended by over 350 delegates. C3 an unique seminar covering Emerging Materials, Methods and practices in the field of Construction Chemicals was inaugurated by our distinguished Chief Guest Mr. R.K. Jha, Director GIFT Project of Gujarat. Prof. Dr. R.K. Dhir, OBE, UK was guest of honour with Mr. Willie Kay, as special guest from Singapore.
In a glittering inaugural session Mr. Samir Surlaker, President CCMA 9Construction Chemicals Manufacturers Association), use full form welcomed all invited Delegates to play an interactive role. Mr. R.K. Jha in inaugural Adress exposed the audience as well as CCMA members to tremendous growth of infrastructure in India. An educative tour of GIFT Project via video was exhibited to introduce audience, to GIFT Project in Gujarat covering 900 acress and investment of around Rs. 75000 crores. The advance technology to be adopted will be better than state of art technology in the world. It was very impressive, Mr. jha invited CCMA to Gujarat to show case advancement in technology oc CC (Construction Chemicals).
Prof. Dhir and Prof. Ghettu focused on environmental aspects of construction an how CC help to create Green Constructions. CCMA aims to make constructions durable with due stress on sustainability. Mr. Attarwallah later exposed delegates practical aspects of certifications.
C3 was addressed by over ten international speakers from BASF, Sika, Chryso, Elkem, MC-Bauchemie as Indian expects from universities, contractors, consultants and end users. Sessions were chaired by eminent Chairman with vast experience in construction with usages of CC. The program was excellent blended and fully technical and participants appreciated the dissemination of knowledge. The main aim of CCMA to spread Awareness was successful.
CCMA is now over 35 members strong association in a very short time of construction chemicals manufacturers collaborating jointly to promote cause of spreading awareness and to focus on right of right chemicals. CCMA aims at standardizing and marking CC products to give confidence to end users and construction industry. As per feed backs from end users we shall introduce Training programmes to build up skills of Applicators, which is key to success of any waterproofing and application system.
