Consumer Redressal charged realtor Rs.6.7L for unfair trade

The Maharashtra State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission has penalized Rs.6.7L to a builder for practicing unfair trade and fake promise to Powai based family giving smaller flat possession rather than what he has promised and also not keeping his word on the facilities provided.
It has been proved in complaint that there is lack of services provided by the builder which has been promised by builder in agreement, and has rightly made out a case for deficiency in respect of giving lesser built-up area than agreed.
The Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission has ordered to Sainath Enterprises to pay Veen wife of Late Sudarshan Singh and their kins remedy of Rs.1.01L for the difference in the size of the flat and Rs 9,200 for low quality doors. Although, per year builder will have to pay 12% interest for delaying four years for handing over possession of the flat and also have to pay 5,000 towards the cost of the complaint.
