The Executive Committee of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA), today recommended for an appointment of contractors for various electrical and mechanical systems on the 18.5-km long Dahisar to DN Nagar Metro-2A, 23.5-km long DN Nagar to Mankhurd Metro-2B and 16.5-km long Andheri (East) to Dahisar (East) Metro-7 corridors.
The Committee recommended Sterling & Wilson Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai, to Design, Supply, Install, Test and Commission electrical and mechanical systems. The Contractors will further employ Fire Detection and Suppression systems on all the 13 elevated stations on the Andheri (East) to Dahisar (East) Metro-7 corridor.
The Committee further recommended the appointment of a consortium of Datamatics Global Services Ltd. & M/s. AEP Ticketing Solutions S.R.L. to Design, Manufacture, supply, Install, Test and Commission the Automatic Fare Collection System for all the 52 stations on the abovementioned three Metro corridors from Dahisar to DN Nagar (Metro-2A), DN Nagar to Mankhurd (Metro-2B) and Andheri (East) to Dahisar (East) Metro-7 corridors.
“The crucial steps taken by the Committee only indicate the speed at which these three Metro projects are progressing”, said R. A. Rajeev, Metropolitan Commissioner, MMRDA.
Commissioner future added, “We are making every single possible effort to achieve timely completion of the important projects to be able to make commuters’ travel with ease, comfort and safety. Mumbaikars will soon enjoy great benefits through these Metro projects once they are commissioned.”
P. Enterprises, the contractors, were also recommended for the road improvement work from Sai Baba Mandir to Forest Naka on NH-35 in the Ambarnath Municipal Council.
