housing societyDDA housing lottery winners will still have to wait for the possession of their dream homes, as Delhi Development Authority has not yet finished completion of all the flats. The authorities will start giving possessions of the flats as an when the flats are ready and these dates will be announced as per the readiness of the flats. Earlier DDA had announced possessions in January, but it will hand over possession of the flats on completion.

The delay in possessions is caused because DDA is yet to give finishing touches to some its flats. As per the sources around 5,000 flats are yet to be completed.

“We have almost complete all the flats, only few small things are yet to be done. For example, in some flats electricity work is left, lift connection might be left. Therefore, we will be handing out possession in parts. Flats which are ready we can start the procedure earlier even in January. For some it might be March,” said a senior official of the DDA.

From past few days, the housing authority is busy conducting camps for the allottees on the basis of location of flats. “We have been conducting camps to make the process easier for the successful candidates. We are also sending intimation letters to all the successful applicants along with a login ID and password so that the successful applicants can check their allotment details online,” a DDA official said.
