DDA to inquire into illegal sale, purchase of land: HC

The Delhi High Court has asked the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) to expeditiously inquire into the matter relating to informal sale and purchase of plots under the schemes of large scale acquisition, development and disposal of land. a bench of justice has disposed a PIL filed in this regard and directed the DDA officials to look into the matter. There is a condition that an allot tee cannot sell the plot for a specific time period that too without prior sanction from the DDA , however the allotted properties have been purchased and sold freely. The DDA has lost crores as lot of plot has been sold without taking No Objection Certificate (NOC). It sought a direction for CBI inquiry that this information was authentic and have been received from DDA itself in response to an RTI query.
