Delhi Govt. asks to DDA to retrieve land in 43 unauthorized colonies

New Delhi:
On this Friday Delhi government has directed to Delhi Development Authority (DDA) and several other public agencies to seize their land in 43 illegal colonies those colonies are undergoing in probe and provisional regularization certificates were cancelled.
PK Tripathi Chief Secretary confirmed that he would write to public agencies for reclaiming their land. Senior official added that “All land-owning agencies have been told to take possession of the land in 43 unauthorized colonies whose PRCs (provisional regularization certificates) were cancelled.”
AK Walia Minister of Delhi Urban Development said that “this robust action has been taken to deter irregularities in the mentioned colonies.” He added that, authority has given 15days time to complete their work and on the maps submitted by the Residents’ Welfare Associations of these colonies, so that we can relieve the remaining land.
