Delhi govt. eases norms for the projects in regularized colonies

CM Sheila Dixit and her team members have approved a proposal to ease the norms to enable fast development work in 895 unauthorized colonies declared regularized. The Delhi CM after the cabinet meeting said that with regularization of these colonies will enhance the work; the executing agencies would be able to carry their work. The decision came a day ahead of the winter session of the assembly.

Minister-in-charge of urban development and revenue Arvinder Singh Lovely said the registry will be opened in 312 of the 895 colonies this month. As per the existing it is that roads and drains can only be repaired after their completion life period. But now to lure the residents the development authority will allow the agencies to take up development works like drainage repair system, roads repairs whenever required. The cabinet has also decided to allow the use of MLA Local Area Development Fund for all these works.
