Chief Secretary D.B. Gupta reviewed the progress of the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Yojana scheme in a meeting held in the secretariat on Tuesday.
In the meeting, the Chief Secretary instructed the officers in full and incomplete housing made under the Prime Minister’s Rural Development Scheme and instructed them to release the instalments immediately at the right time for the beneficiaries to make the house so that the homeless person would soon Housing is possible. He emphasized on making more and more villagers aware about Mason (Mistry) training program, said that while being a trained Mistry, there will be a high quality of work in housing construction and people will also get employment.
The Chief Secretary also briefly inquired about the incomplete and unclaimed housing under the Indira Housing Scheme. He told the officials that the unclaimed houses should be allocated to eligible non-resident persons before authorizing them to become Khandahar and can be authorized for the village panchayats.
