CIDCO has noticed that the unauthorized construction work is being carried out without any kind of construction permission from CIDCO in Navi Mumbai. Therefore, CIDCO appealed to the citizens to purchase and sell the premises or shops in the CIDCO-acquired premises of Navi Mumbai and make sure that the building has been given permission by the concerned planning authority and whether it has been given permission.
Those who are making illegal/permanent development illegally, are advised by Section 54 of the Maharashtra Regional and Town Planning Act, 1966 to remove the illegally constructed container yard and other unauthorized constructions. Otherwise, CIDCO will remove the encroachment related to unauthorized constructions made by them. Similarly, expenditure on expenditure will be recovered from the encroachment owner, an official said.
Action taken against the unauthorized construction by adopting legal process through CIDCO. “Citizens should take cognizance of the details of the unauthorized constructions published in the newspapers from time to time by the CIDCO during the purchase of CIDCO’s acquired land or shops in Navi Mumbai. All citizens have to note that the CIDCO corporation will not be liable in any manner due to losses in the event of any loss due to the transaction”, it added said.
