The agitation of farmers against the land acquisition for a Hi-Tech City on the 9,000 acres of land is no doubt creating a trouble for the developers in the region. December 12th was a day decided for meeting for settling the issues of the farmers by the government. It comes out to be not an easy job.
Farmers are demanding higher compensation against the land acquisition which is acquired for the project. These agitators are on hunger strike since 5th December which later on suspended it due to health issues. The matter has now to be seen by Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) but however the farmers are not happy with the response and have loose faith.
The GDA chairman Santosh Yadav has said, the MoU for the project was executed between the former government and the GDA has nothing to do with it. Adding further he said that the farmers memorandum is been received and the issue will be sorted out as fast as possible.
