GDA razes over 100 illegal buildings

GHAZIABAD

In a move to curb illegal structures, GDA has demolished over 100 illegal buildings till August 29 and will continue till all such structure are abolished, a senior official said.

Ritu Maheshwari, GDA, Vice-chairperson had said on August 13 that as such 650 structures have been identified and would be sealed by the authority end of this month, according to an agency.

The officer said on August 31, structures and boundary wall in Chiranjiv Vihar, Modi Nagar, illegal dairies have been cleared.

Near the Golden city of Meer Hindu Village of Loni, there was illegally colonised locality in over 25 Bighas of the plot was also razed, an official said.

GDA has recently has set targets for developing area under its jurisdiction with world class infrastructure as Smart city, Hi-tech city, Green City, Inclusive city, and total transparency. The Authority is all set to act as a facilitator for the investors from across the world to establish a business, industries, educational centres, residential development.
