In a move to provide relief to illegal structures, Mridula Sinha, Governor of Goa, has given her nod to the ordinance allowing one month’s extension for regularizing it.
The extension for regularizing illegal structure in private properties will give some more time for submitting the form.
After the approval of governor to Goa Regularisation of Unauthorised Construction (Amendment) Ordinance, 2018 the one-month extension came into the frame from June 15.
After the Act came into force, around 4,500 applications have been received by the revenue department from which in South Goa 2,800 applications and 1,700 in North Goa.
Structures in public properties, Khazan land, no development zone will not be considered.
An officer said they expect around 100 more applications to come.
