Sanghi Industries Limited, Gujarat Heavy Chemicals Limited and Mahansaria Tyres Private Limited will start new projects with an investment of Rs 3,710 crore in Gujarat. All three companies on Wednesday signed MoU’s with Government of Gujarat.
Sanghi Industries is going to expand its existing Cement plant’s capacity to 8.6 million tonnes from 4 million tonnes in Sanghipuram, Kutch. For this, the company is going to expand their Sanghipuram plant at cost of Rs 1,500 Crore. It is expected that this expansion will generate employment for around 350 people.
Chairman and Managing Director of Sanghi Industries Limited Ravi Sanghi today signed MoU with Principal Secretary of Industries and Mines M. K. Das in Gandhinagar for the project which is likely to commence by the year 2020.
Gujarat Heavy Chemicals Limited (GHCL) is going to set up a manufacturing plant for salt and marine chemicals at cost of Rs 550 crore. GHCL is also interested in expanding its existing brownfield Soda–Ash plant in Sutrapada, Gir–Somnath. The proposed investment for the expansion is Rs 600 crore and it will generate employment for around 2000 people which is likely to be commencing by the year 2020.
Mahansaria Tyres Pvt. Ltd. Is going to set up Tyre, Tubes and other Rubber manufacturing plant unit in Panoli, Bharuch with proposed investment of Rs 1,060 crore, which will generate employment for 2,000 people.
