Haryana approves Rs 29 Cr for construction of 306 Police houses, NGO hostel

Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal on September 2 approved a sum of Rs 29.50 crore for construction of 306 houses of Police personnel, NGO hostel, a welfare centre, barracks and administrative block in different police lines and police stations in the state.

While stating this here today, Director General of Police, B.S. Sandhu said that out of the total, Rs 15 crore has been approved for construction of new houses, Rs 9 crore for construction of barracks, Rs 2.5 crore for construction of administrative block in Police lines, Kurukshetra, Rs one crore for construction of NGO hostel in Police line, Sonipat and Rs two crore for construction of welfare centre in Police line, Palwal.

Giving further details, the DGP said that 48 houses would be got constructed including 36 of type II and 12 of type III at a cost of Rs two crore at city police station, Narwana whereas 42 number type II houses at a cost of Rs two crore would be constructed at Police station sadar campus  in Charkhi Dadri.  Similarly, 72 type II and 12 type III houses would be constructed with Rs 4.5 crore in Police Lines, Panipat, 24 type IV houses with Rs1.5 crore at Madhuban in Karnal, and 96 type II and 12 type three house would be constructed at a cost of  Rs 5 crore in Police Lines, Jhajjar.

He said that Chief Minister had also approved Rs 3 crore for construction of a triple storey barrack in Police in Bhiwani, where funds of Rs 2.5 crore and Rs 3.5 crore had been approved for construction of one barrack in Police lines Rewari and two barracks in Police lines, Rohtak respectively.  In addition, NGO hostel in Police line, Sonipat, Welfare centre in Police lines Palwal and Administrative Block in Police Lines, Kurukshetra would also be got constructed at a cost of Rs one crore, Rs two crore and Rs 2.5 crore respectively.

Sandhu said that construction of these facilities would further help in extending a better infrastructure to the police personnel that would certainly motivate them in discharging their official duty in a better way.
