Giving a major relief to plot holders of Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (earlier known as HUDA), the Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal has announced that one time rebate of 40 percent rebate on total outstanding amount of enhancement would be given and no enhancement policy would be implemented on new plots to be allotted in future.
A decision to this effect was taken in a meeting held between Chief Minister and office-bearers of Enhancement Sangharsh Samiti, here today.
The Chief Minister said that “The scheme of rebate of 40 percent would remain operational for next two months and arrangement of loans would also be made for those who wish to take a loan to pay this amount”.
He further added those who do not want to avail this rebate of 40 percent and new calculation would be done according to the objections of the Sangharsh Samiti.
On the matter of calculation raised by the Samiti, the Chief Minister said that no more money would be charged from the allottees than the amount of enhancement being given to farmers. An enhancement would not be charged for those lands are under trial in courts under Section 24(2) against their acquisition.
No enhancement would be charged for the period before allotment when the land is acquired for allotment of a plot by HUDA.
A decision would be taken later on other issues such as an amount of interest to be levied on less conveyed, enhancement on allotted plots of EWS category, when enhancement amount would be paid to farmers and how much less would be the rate of interest from 15 percent between the periods of giving notice.
