In order to realize the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s vision of housing for all, Haryana Housing Board is going to construct 1719 flats for people belonging to Below Poverty Line (BPL) and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) in developed townships/colonies of Gurugram town. In addition, Board has already floated 7533 ready to move in flats in its 21 estates for these categories.
Jawahar Yadav Chairman of the Board said that “These three-storey flats would be built in licensee colonies of Gurugram duly approved by Town and Country Planning Department and would be allocated among eligible beneficiaries on an affordable estimated price of Rs 5.85 lakh per flat. The last date for making application is September 19, 2018. The draw of lots would be held within six months of the closing date of the scheme. The construction work of these flats would be completed within two years under the self-financing scheme.”
Giving further details, Yadav said that applicant must be a BPL card holder for making an application under BPL category whereas the annual income of EWS applicant should be up to Rs three lakh. He said that the beneficiaries could also take credit link subsidy scheme benefit at 6.5 per cent under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna (PMAY). Those applicants who are registered by Urban Development Department under PMAY could also take the subsidy to benefit up to Rs 2.5 lakh.
Enumerating the details of 7533 flats, he said that these three-storey dwelling units were being offered in Dharuhera, Sirsa, Kurukshetra, Panipat, Karnal, Rewari, Sonipat, Rohtak, Jhajjar, Hisar, Kaithal, Ratia, Pinjore (Kalka), Gharaunda, Yamunanagar, Fatehabad, Bahadurgarh, Palwal, Ambala, Tohana and Narwana. The allotment price of these flats ranging between Rs 4.5 lakh and Rs 7 lakh depending on the site and location.
He urged the eligible beneficiaries to take advantage of affordable housing as well as an interest subsidy at the rate of 6.5 per cent on loan. Application forms could be obtained from all Estate Offices as well as branches of Sarv Haryana Gramin Bank, IDBI Bank, Harco Bank and District Central Cooperative Banks.
