Haryana notifies policy on license for group housing colonies

The Haryana Government has notified policy regarding grant of license for group housing colonies in high density zones earmarked in development plans. A spokesperson of the Town and Country Planning department said high density means residential zone earmarked in development plan wherein density of population is 1,000 persons per hectare or more.

It is clarified that the policy of December 19 2006 in so far as it relates to reservation of 20% of the sector area for group housing colony in a particular sector, shall not be applicable to High Density Zones earmarked in the respective Development Plan as Group Housing Colonies are to be set up in this entire zone. He said a variation of plus 5% and minus 5% in the prescribed population density shall be considered and 20%of area of the applied land shall be handed over to Haryana Urban Development Authority by applied for providing community facilities and open spaces as earmarked by the department fro composite planning of the area.

The department will fix a date for submitting applications for grant of license in the High Density Zones of various Development plans after which the remaining land shall be acquired by HUDA he said.
