Housing.com is back in controversy following it website got hack

Housing. comReal Estate portal Housing.com is again in controversy as its website was hacked, the incident is seem to be in retaliation to former CEO Rahul Yadav’s sacking last week. The website was back up intermittently. Users were greeted with the following message.


The website has a message that Housing would be able to solve real estate but 10 times better with “The Chief Architect”.

Since few weeks the company is surrounded with controversies shaping a bad name of the organisation since, Housing.com‘s board fired the company’s co-founder and chief executive officer Rahul Yadav and a release said that he will no longer be an employee or be associated with the company.

Still it is unclear who hacked the website, but Yadav’s name appeared on the page that flashed after the website was hacked. It said #rahul yadav, #housingdown.

Though the Housing.com website was retrieved and went live after a brief disruption, it was again brought down.

On sacking Rahul Yadav from the company, Housing said in a statement, that, “The Housing Board, unanimously agreed to bring Yadav’s tenure to a close, with reference to his behavior towards investors, ecosystem and the media.  The Board believed that his behavior is not befitting of a CEO and is detrimental to the company, known for its innovative approach to product development, market expansion and brand building.”

Housing also said that the hunt for an interim CEO is going on.
