Housing Regulatory Authority Bill referred to panel

Mumbai: On Wednesday the legislature referred the Housing Regulatory Authority Bill to a 19-member joint select committee. Whereas, the housing bill has been criticized by the activists group for being “pro-builder”. On the other hand Sachin Ahir minister of state for housing requested the house to discuss the housing bill in detail.
However, the Maharashtra Societies Welfare Association is likely to stage protest against the bill. The Bombay Primary Education Act, 1947, and the Maharashtra Employees of Private Schools (Conditions of Service) Regulation Act, 1977, were referred to a joint select committee. The report is likely to be present in the monsoon session.
