In a bid to compensate buyers MHADA set to auction builder’s properties

In the changing times as the real estate market is becoming more and more consumer friendly, in a major move MHADA has taken an initiative to process the properties of builder who abandoned his redevelopment projects in Dadar. The agency has asked the district collector’s office to attach builder Vilas Gaonkar’s properties after he left a redevelopment project unfinished.When contacted, National Real Estate Development Council’s Vice President, Rajang Bandelkar said, “The move can lead to further litigation. MHADA should have approached the Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority instead of taking suo moto action.”
