Kerala PWD to get Rs 11,000 Cr for construction

Public Works Department Minister G Sudhakaran said according to World Bank and UN Development Commission, the state needs around Rs 27,000 crore to Rs 31,000 crore for reconstructing Kerala.  State Public Works Department will get Rs 8,500-11,000 crore for construction and coordination of construction activities.

Minister said this during the inauguration of Al Aadi road in the south. In the past two years, construction activities worth Rs 2,000 crore are being conducted in the district under the Public Works Department. The bill for the people in the hilly areas of the South – Alakoti PWD is Rs 72 crore, he said.

Several other minister and bureaucrats were present over there.
