Revenue and Housing Minister E Chandrasekharan said that measures will be taken to restrict the resource exploitation in the housing sector in Kerala.
Recently, he was speaking after inaugurating a one-day workshop organized on ‘New Hour Literacy for New Kerala’ in collaboration with the State Housing Department District Development Center.
The Government has adopted the necessary efforts to reduce the deterioration of the damage caused by further disasters. The general style of Keralites is to build large houses this is why Kerala is also the top priority for exploitation of natural resources, he said.
There are many NRIs who has built more than one houses. Natural resources are been used widely, a source said.
The government is planning to implement a housing project and a ‘Kerala Building Code‘ to address the problem this year.
