The Leading independent global property consultancy – Knight Frank launched a book titled ‘Real Investment’ – a real estate investment guide for India. A special initiative by Knight Frank, ‘Real Investment’ seeks to lend a helping hand by covering all the information that one may require while investing in real estate. The book brilliantly compiles the perspectives of real estate industry experts to help deepen knowledge about real estate and consider it as an asset class.

The book was unveiled by Mr. Deepak Parekh, Chairman HDFC. Endorsing this compilation, Mr. Parekh said, “Rules and regulations with respect to real estate differ from state to state and there is huge gap in availability of precise information. With correction in real estate prices and fall in interest rates, demand for properties has picked up and we are seeing property prices inch up across the country. I have been maintaining that both, primary and secondary investors must do their home work before buying a property as it is fraught  with  a  lot of risks such as credibility of the developer, delivery  risk, etc. In such a scenario a book like ‘Real Investment’ providing an exhaustive list of do’s and don’ts on real estate investing could be extremely beneficial to the end user. It can be used as a ready reference for guidance on property selection and management.”

With each of the 8 chapters contributed by industry experts, Real Investment journeys its readers towards enlightenment on the key aspects of real estate investing. The book encompasses detailed write ups on all the how, what and why one should look for: while  investing in real estate, evaluating investment territory, guidelines for property selection, negotiating and purchasing property, seeking prospective tenants, managing funds and tax planning and statutory laws pertaining to property ownership.

Commenting on the launch, Mr. Pranay Vakil, Chairman, Knight Frank India said, “As property advisors, we continuously work with some of the best minds in the sector. We felt the need for a single credible source of information for which we brought together the best minds in the business. This book makes the seemingly daunting task of delving into the Real Estate market simpler by offering tips on how to make Real Estate a lucrative investment option. We are confident that Real Investment will facilitate buyers to make better and informed decisions.”
