The sub-registrar has the option to accept or reject a document applied for registration; however, online registration of document has caused an increase in corruption instead of keeping a check on it, the petitioner said.
He said the online system does not provide facility to include the schedule and boundaries for the properties and also there are so many other disparities.
The petitioner said, “And there’s no provision for registration of Grama Natham property which complicates registration of properties that do not have patta.”
Simple facilities like provision to provide PAN numbers of parties are missing and many others, he added.
However, the online registration service has increased the numbers of brokers and touts. He said such peoples were collecting excessive amount as service charges for helping people to register through the online system.
