Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA) has received over 16,410 applications of promoters for registering with state regulator and more than 14,300 applications of agents for the same.
Recently, the regulator has added a new feature to the website, which is daily statistic page where every day the number application is been updated.
The source (website) provides statistics on Registration in Maharashtra, Registration in Daman & Diu and Dadra Nagar Haveli, Complaint Registration and Redressal, Maharashtra Real Estate Appellate Tribunal and MahaRERA Conciliation Forum.
From 16,415 application of promoter, 16,293 application is been granted by MahaRERA and whereas 14,229 agents from 14,306 applications.
MahaRERA had recently celebrated its 1st anniversary on May 1, where Housing Minister Hardeep Singh Puri expressed his happiness and said, ‘a vision that has come true’.
In the column of Complaint Registration and Redressal, a total number of 2,572 complaints have received with MahaRERa and out of that 1,237 orders have been passed.
An initiative by the regulator to lower the workload and to resolve the disputes between builder and buyer, it formed a Conciliation Forum where a buyer can fight for his rights. During the launch of Forum, the officials said that “It is an experiment by MahaRERA”.
Maharashtra was the first & the only state in India to commence online registration of new & ongoing Real Estate projects on the mid-night of 30th April/1stMay 2017. In last nine months, MahaRERA has disposed of 1168 complaints. Out of 90 Appeals, 45 Appeals have already been disposed of.
In one of the event, the Chairman of MahaRERA, Gautam Chatterjee said, “There are over one lakh brokers and only a few have registered it the state regulator”.
In the section of MahaRERA Conciliation Forum around 33 cases has solved from a total of 92 requests received.
