Navi Mumbai, August 16, 2010: In its endeavour to expand network beyond Mumbai city and its suburbs, Maharashtra Chamber of Housing Industry (MCHI), the umbrella organization of real estate developers, today announced setting up of MCHI Raigad unit. MCHI nominated Mr. Rajesh Prajapati (Managing Director, Prajapati Constructions Ltd) as the President and Mr. Vikas Bhambre (Marvellous Builders) as Secretary, at the inaugural event held at Belapur in Navi Mumbai on August 12.
The other office bearers of the newly set up MCHI Raigad unit include Mr. Vilas Kothari, Mr. Kiran Bagad, Mr. Jitesh Thakkar (vice presidents), Mr. Raja Gupte (Treasurer), committee members namely Mr. Uday Sathe, Mr. Arvind Sawlekar, Mr. Mujaffar Patel and Others.
Addressing the large gathering of developers from various locations in Raigad district, MCHI President Mr. Sunil Mantri said, “Raigad has emerged as one of the fastest growing area in the state and the locations such as Panvel, Uran, Alibaug, Karjat emerging as most favored destinations for affordable housing developments in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region(MMR). Considering the potential development in the region, MCHI has setting up its unit in order to resolve various issues related to the development of the region. We are sure with the separate unit of the MCHI for Raigad would further enhance the real estate development in this most promising area”.
MCHI Raigad, is the fourth separate unit of the MCHI after Mumbai. Mr. Rajan Bandelkar, Jt. Secretary MCHI who was instrumental in setting of Thane, Kalyan, Mira Road to Virar and now Raigad unit said, “The newly set up unit Raigad unit will follow all the guidelines that MCHI has put in place for its members to set up a benchmark in real estate development in the entire Raigad district”.
Mr. Rajesh Prajapati, newly elected president of the MCHI Raigad unit in his address said that the MCHI Raigad unit developers in the Raigad region will come under the platform, which would help the developers to resolve various issues related to the development while implementing the self disciplinary guidelines of the MCHI.
