Today everything is in reach with one click and so the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) seems to be in mood as it has finally decided to go online for the residents. The housing board has put forward the proposal for the same. Sources to be believed, the proposed proposal has been taken to the higher authorities and positive signs are coming for the implementation. The online procedure will definitely prove a boon to the residents of old MHADA buildings as they would now be able to access everything at one click which includes payment of the rent, transfer fee and many other things.
This is the first time that the organization has planned anything for the existing residents of their buildings. There are nearly 2.5lakh such MHADA buildings in Mumbai, including old and new ones. Once online, there will be a single window destination for all of them for their queries.
“Currently, our staff goes to every home to complete the procedures like collecting rent and other things. There are times when people are not at home, thus causing delays in payments. Now, they will easily be able to make payments to MHADA with just a click of the mouse. This will not only make life easy for the residents, even the officials won’t have to delay things because their staff wouldn’t be involved in time-consuming work,” said a senior official from MHADA.
