On Tuesday Mahada has come out with its 4th lottery results at Rang Sharada auditorium, Bandra, this time Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (Mhada) sold 3,849 flats out of 4,034 flats. Whereas they have announced that in May2012 Mhada is planning to come out with 2,229 flats which are under constructions at Powai, Magathane in Borivli and Pratiksha Nagar at Sion.
According to the experts 185 flats have been reserved under the Chief Minister’s quota and it is divided into three fractions such as Physically Challenged, Legislators and Parliamentarians. As per the reports 81 flats is not yet auctioned as CM is yet to decide whether reserved flats under his discretionary quota should be scrapped.
As Mhada yet haven’t handed over possession to approx 33% (estimated 1400 flats) lottery winners of 2010. This happened due to civic body yet to issue occupation certificate (OC), so on this issue when asked to Mhada officials said that due to water scarcity civic body yet haven’t issued the OC. But Mhada will start to hand over possession by July2011 as it is expected that civic body will grant the OC by June end. Officials added that this time we won’t repeat this mistake as flats would be ready by the December 2011.
