The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has appointed BG Shirke Construction Pvt. Ltd. company as a contractor for building at least 6,000 flats near Goregaon.

Flats will be constructed in Pahadi village near Goregaon’s Inorbit Mall.

The Authority conducted a pre-bid meeting in December 2017, and several developers like, Shapoorji Pallonji, Shirke Construction Company, L&T, Simplex Infrastructure Ltd attended the meeting. Due to some issue in tender no bidder bid in the project. The authority on May 8 again floated tenders regarding the project and BG Shirke Constructed was picked for the project.

According to an official, Shirke Company quoted Rs 25, 700 per sqm lowest bid against L&T which quoted Rs 28,178 per square metre. Officials added that the constructed houses will measure approx 300 sq. ft.

We tried to seek additional information from BG Shirke Construction via e-mail on the project but there was no response from the company until going on the web.

Due to a legal battle for over 25 years the process of executing plan delayed. The Tehsildar claimed that the plot of land belongs to him.
