Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority is set to sell three of its plots of the western suburbs to generate some funds for their development projects. On 22nd June authority announced auction for three of its Transfer of Development Rights (TDR) plots of 30,000 square meters in Goregaon and Jogeshwari.
As per industry experts, the deals could fetch up to Rs 130 crore, they believe that MMRDA has tapped the market at the right time and is likely to get good realisation for the deals.
At the auction total 14 companies have filed tender documents to buy transferable development rights generated from slum rehabilitation projects at Nirlon Plot-10,574.76 sq. m. NESCO Plot-9,970.49 sq. m. both at Goregaon and Ajgaonkar Plot-9,454.75 sq. m. at Jogeshwari.
The companies that have filed tender documents are Saroj Landmark Realty LLP, Oberoi Realty Ltd. Kunal Realtors, Aristo Realty Developers, Bhoomi Construwell, Spade Realtors, Sapphire Land Development, Aakash Universal, M/s. Valji Sejpal & Co., Steel Plant, Streamline finance & Investment and Blue Diamond Construction. Oberoi Realty has bid for all the three plots.
The financial bids will be opened on June 25, 2015 and after the evaluation of the same winning bidders would be announced.
