More than 5 builders booked for fake document to occupy Maharashtra Government land



On Saturday five developers along with two others were booked in Ulhasnagar for allegedly   stealing 15,000 sq ft plot owned by the Maharashtra government by forging with a fake contract.

Moti Duseja the special development officer (SDO) registered the case and highlighted these irregularities. Although, the builders have contradicted the allegations.

Ghanshyamdas Tuniya, Mukesh Dudani, Kishan Lahori, Rajesh Dudani, Chandar Chawla, Sevaldas Bijlani and Bhagibai Bijlani these people are been booked in the case. They have been charged under IPC sections 420, 467, 468, 472 and 120 (B).

According to Duseja, “I got the details of the land using the Right to Information Act (RTI). I later realized that they have forged a signature to obtain the conveyance deed from the state government. Two government officers from the SDO office helped the accused, but they have not been named in the case.”

Duseja later complained to Thane district collector Mahendra Kalyankar. Based on his complaint, the SDO’s office conducted a probe into the matter and found out that the signature had been forged. Barricades have been put up around the plot.

“We have purchased the plot after proper verification of documents. We have all papers including city records and property receipts,” according to Lahori, an accused in the matter.
