Railways minister Piyush Goyal and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated new 12km Nerul-Seawoods Darave-Belapur-Kharkopar corridor in Navi Mumbai on November 11.
‘Mobility Integrated’ for the development of Naina project is much larger area than Mumbai city, a source said.
The regular rail service will commence from today. According to the official, the second phase of the project will begin as soon as possible.
CIDCO has played a major in developing Raigad, by rail, metro, roads. CIDCO to also construct 40,000 houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. However, it is expecting to construct total 1 lakh houses near the station.
The project is very close to the financial capital of Navi Mumbai and along with it, Ulwe, Dronagiri, Uran development will ease the travelling of people.
Total 27 kilometres long and 10 railway stations project will be will be completed in two phases and proposed in the first phase 5. Two railway stations are completed.
This 12 kilometres will connect Ulwe, Belapur and Nerul nodes. The project cost is being shared by the Railways and CIDCO in the ratio of 33:67 per cent.
