No construction delay in Delhi Metro Phase III: Puri

The Housing Minister Hardeep Singh Puri while reply to the question in Rajya Sabha on Thursday he said, the third phase of Delhi Metro has not experienced any delay in constructions and its involves around 190 km rail tracks.

The first two phases of Delhi Metro, involved construction over 190 km, he said. He added that the second phase involved a construction of 180 km.

“Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has informed that due to non-availability of land in time, the progress of work in some stretches of Phase III of Delhi Metro has been hampered”, in a written reply, he said, according to the agency.

The third phase involves 150 km of construction out of which 98 km is been made operational. According to the source, 4 km will be ordered by June 2019, balance 3 km by December 2020.

Phase III metro will cover Noida 32-Noida 62, Length- 6.675 km Elevated. Total Stations 6 Elevated. The cumulative physical progress of civil works up to June-18 is 86.60 per cent. The line is targeted for completion in Dec-2018, according to data given on the website.
