North and South bound ramps of Eastern Freeway at Anik Wadala Rd. opened on Sunday

mmrdaThe North and South bound ramps of Eastern Freeway at Anik Wadala Road is opened for vehicular traffic from, Sunday, April 6, 2014.

“MMRDA has now completed the construction of bridges across Mahul Creek
and approach roads on either side of the elevated portion for entry and exit at
Anik Wadala Link road. These ramps can be used for to and fro movement
towards North (Chembur, Vashi, Navi Mumbai and further). For movement to and
from South (CST) ramps can be used by taking a U turn from under RCF flyover.
Commuters are requested to follow the road signage and use these ramps,” said Mr. Dilip Kawathkar, Joint Project Director (PR), MMRDA.

The Rs 1,463-crore Eastern Freeway will open in its entirety up to Ghatkopar in the third week of April. The 2.5-km portion of the Freeway from Chembur to Ghatkopar-Mankhurd Link Road is nearing completion. Once thrown open, it will benefit motorists from Ghatkopar as well as those travelling to Thane and beyond.
