The Maharashtra Housing Area Development Authority (MHADA) has announced to conduct another online lottery for the forthcoming year to provide 4500 flats to home seekers and middle class sections. Authority has taken this initiative in the crisis period when property market in Mumbai like city is becoming unaffordable.
According to Mhada chairman, ““The size of the flats will be between 250sq ft and 800sq ft, and the buildings will be located in Sion, Powai and Ghatkopar.” We have promised to people for supplying affordable homes, Chairman added. He also said that “in the previous four years our organization has provided affordable houses to home buyers below the current property rates an soon we will come out with the advertisement of lottery for 4500 flats.”
Whereas, 17 months has been passed and Mankhurd lottery winners yet to get possession as authorities unable to get OCs as the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has withheld the Occupation Certificates (OCs).
