Residents of Wagle Estate, Waghvil, Kapurbawadi, Manpada, Majiwada and Ghodbundar area had to spend long hours without power as unscheduled power cut left them high and dray during the rising mercury level . In last summer, residents cannot take bath after 8 am as water in taps comes out boiling and plight of no power.
For almost above seven hours daily power cut, Thane city and its outskirts like Ghodbunder Road feels a summer heat with no solution to power cuts. Thane being industrial town in the past is habitually shut on Friday. On Friday, entire day, power cut is common phenomena and usual practice. For hours together, power cut make life miserable.
Water pumping stations and building water pumps do not work during such power cuts, leads to shortage of water in many upcoming developing zones. Residents forced to shut their refrigerators and appliances as invertor cost goes more than 30,000/-. During afternoon, such power cut neither allow domestic chorus to be completed neither children can study or rest after school hours. Even Malls and multiplex are affected by such power cuts.
