Couple of cases has been registered against builders regarding the delay in providing the possession of flats to the owners. The flat-owners of Universal Aura project moved to roads to raise their voice to express their disappointment. The protestors walked down to the DTCP office sector 14 with banners and howl slogans.

As expressed by the flat-owners, almost 80% amount of the flats has been paid. The cost of the flats varies from 53 lakh to 1 crore.  The possession of the flats was supposed to be handed over by the year 2014, but the construction is only 50% completed until now.

According to Buyer’s association, the license for the project has been expired in 2015, and hence to continue the construction the license needs to be renewed. All the allegations filed are being denied by the Universal  Buildwell , as according to the legal head of the company mentioned that the delay was caused due to futile pressure from the buyers and as the plea was also registered to the national consumer forum. All these factors were the cause for the delay and the developers are willing to pay Rs 15 per sq/ft as penalty for delay in possession.
